Recruitment and Interview Process

When you see a post on thatTEFLsite.com, if you have not already done so, you should register on the site and upload your personal details. You are then able to apply for any of the posts that you wish to.

There are effectively two kinds of posts on thatTEFLsite.com, those placed directly by schools and those placed by us on behalf of our client schools. In the case of a position placed directly by a school, once they have your application, they will contact you directly outlining their recruitment process.

In the case of jobs thatTEFLsite.com are recruiting for directly, the following procedures will be followed after you have applied for the post. Our advice by the way is to be discriminating in your applications and to apply only for posts and locations that really suit you. See our job seeking tips for more ideas on this theme. Bearing this in mind, this is a typical sequence of events.

1 - After you have sent in your application, thatTEFLsite.com will contact you with an acknowledgement and advise you that an interview short list is being drawn up.

2 - This short list will be drawn up in collaboration with the client and teachers we wish to interview will be contacted.

3 - Interviews will be held by one of our consultants either in London or elsewhere across our global network. The client school manager may or may not be present at this stage. See interview tips to help yourself prepare for the interview, but do remember to ask questions too!

4 - After the interview, thatTEFLsite.com will report to the client school and references will be taken from past employers and places of education.

5 - Job offers will be made by thatTEFLsite.com or directly by the client, and subject to acceptance, contracts will be issued.

6 - You get on an aeroplane and after orientation and settling in, start teaching!
